Massages are often offered as a secondary or tertiary service in addition to something like spa treatments or sauna visits. Minerva Massage Works have instead specialised in the field of hands-on relaxation, allowing us to both offer a broad scope of massages and a handful of specialist treatments you might struggle to find elsewhere.

Jo, our primary massage therapist in Bath, has gone above and beyond the call for continual professional development. She has worked alongside the likes of Andy Fagg, David Lauterstein and Susan Yates, undertaking qualifications from the British Complementary Medicine Association, Wellmother and Bodyology. We see our role not as simply giving people massages, but providing them with a retreat from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life for 30 to 90 minutes. Most of us do not make enough time for relaxation and reflection in our day-to-day lives, and to that end Minerva Massage Works are proud to help people relieve their aches and strains, let their worries melt away and walk away smiling.
You can find out more about our approach, accreditations and qualifications here.
We are situated within the Somerset Rooms, 14 Queen Square, Bath, BA1 2HN - just opposite the Francis Hotel and a short hop from the major shopping areas.
Please Note: the treatment room is on the top floor (floor 3) of a grade I listed Georgian building, and may be a consideration should you be experiencing any mobility issues
Via Cycling or Public Transport
We would encourage all visitors to Minerva Massage Works to walk, cycle or use public transport where possible. There are bike racks at various points around Queen Square and bus stops on Monmouth Street.
Via Car and Parking
If you are planning on driving, we recommend you download the MIPermit app to your phone first, as most car parks within Bath are now cashless. Alternatively, consider parking in Victoria Park and enjoy a scenic leisurely 10 min stroll.
Should you have any difficulty in locating us, or find yourself running late for your appointment, please call us on 07717 41 35 35.

“I've been going to Jo for a massage every month for a year now. Every time the experience and her application of a Swedish Massage is slightly different, which adds to the relaxation and enjoyment. After every session I do feel totally relaxed, zoned out and any aches I had, have been worked out. Jo has a lovely personable demeanour, always welcoming which makes you relax as soon as you walk through the door.”
